Annual maintenance is suitable when the flute is about a year old or has undergone basic maintenance at Huilupiste within approximately two years. During the annual maintenance, the student flute is thoroughly checked and the mechanism and pads are adjusted to function as well as possible. During this maintenance, other measures deemed necessary can also be carried out, such as cleaning, replacing individual pads, felts or corks, correcting small dents, tightening joints, etc.
The price of annual maintenance for a student flute starts at €98 + supplies. The price is determined based on the time and supplies used for maintenance and is affected by the quality, age and previous maintenance history of the flute. The typical total cost of annual maintenance is €90–200. Upon request, we will provide a more precise cost estimate for the maintenance once we have seen the flute. If the flute needs more extensive maintenance than the annual maintenance, we will inform you of this before starting the work.
